United Way works with the American Red Cross to help people in the region at time of emergency or crisis. In addition to the ARC’s disaster relief efforts, United Way also services to families made homeless by fire or other disaster and supports educational programs for workplace and community health safety, efforts to guarantee a safe and adequate blood supply, assistance to members of the Armed Forces and Veterans, and youth programs.
