Volunteers
Giving your time to help others develop skills to enhance their lives personally and professionally can prove to be extremely valuable.
What's in it for me?
- The opportunity to be part of a real and tangible service
- The opportunity to build my resume
- The opportunity to help strengthen an organization, thereby strengthening my community
How Can I Help?
Did you know that the skills you use every day at work or play are specialized abilities that you can contribute as a volunteer? Everyone can get involved and share their talents with the community. Whether you are an accountant, who can help prepare taxes for low income families; an art teacher, who can inspire a senior in our community to rediscover the joy of painting; a voracious reader, who can pass on the love of books to a child; a techie, who can help lower-skilled workers understand information technology, or a carpenter, who can fix or build just about anything, you can give back by sharing your skills to benefit the lives of others in our region.
Where Can I Find an Opportunity?
United Way encourages every Southeastern Pennsylvania resident to seek out an opportunity to volunteer personal or professional skills to help others.
