Healthy Parenting

United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania's Healthy Parenting Initiative addresses the social and emotional health of children through the provision of parenting education training to childcare professionals. We know that children who complete quality early care and education programs enter kindergarten better prepared cognitively, emotionally and socially. These children are less likely to be held back or need special education services and are more likely to complete high school and become successful, productive adults.

United Way's Healthy Parenting initiative provides critical support and training for early childhood educators through a partnership with the Institute for Family Professionals, to ensure that educators are equipped to respond to the social and emotional health needs of the children who are in their care as well as their parents.
